Who can participate?
ANYONE! It doesn't matter what age you are. As long as you can run or walk the course, you are welcome to join in. We highly encourage you to bring yourself and your friends out to the Human Race.
Is there enough parking at the event?
We have gone the extra mile on this one. There is enough parking at the event fro everyone. Parking is provided by LiveNation at the Shoreline ampitheater. Access is at Ampitheater and Shoreline Parkways.
Can I bring my children or my dog?
Absolutely! Children under 12 are free with a paid adult. Youth 13-18 years are discounted and we have a fantastic course for dogs and their owners. Please remember to clean up after your pet.
Can I collect pledges for a charity or nonprofit that is located in another sate?
Yes you can. We have had a number of out-of-state charities throughout the years.
Can I raise money for my school program or faith based program?
Yes, in fact, we recommend it. Just download the needed forms to register the program.
Who can run as a team?
Any group...A family, club, class, office, church or other. Just download and complete your forms as a team registration. Remember that each individual still needs to register to participate in the Human Race.
I can't run in the Human Race, but I would love to help out. How can i do that?
We have many different ways to help out (1) volunteer to help in the planning of the race, (2) make a general donation, (3) register your favorite nonprofit by completing the organization registration form, (4) donate to your favorite nonprofit by pledging a runner or walker
I work for a nonprofit; and, I've completed the form. I've never participated in the Human Race before. Is there any more information I need? Is there an orientation?
Yes. There are orientation presentations. You may download the schedule and sign up for an orientation. Should you have specific questions, please call the Volunteer Center at 408-247-1126.
Who benefits from the Human Race?
Good Question! The Human Race serves area nonprofit community based organizations and school programs throught Silicon Valley, namely those in Santa Clara County, San Mateo County and Southern Alameda County. In the past year, the Human Race has raised $400K benefiting over 150 organizations.
What kind of facilities will be at the event?
We will have food, entertainment, toilets and first-aid available during the entire event. If your organization or company would like to cater your own group, please contact the Volunteer Center at 408-247-1126 for important information.
