Become a CERT Volunteer


	When emergencies happen, Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) members can give critical support to first responders, provide immediate assistance to victims, and organize other volunteers at a disaster site. CERT members can also help with non-emergency projects that improve the safety of the community. CERT training includes: personal disaster preparedness fire suppression basic first aid light search and rescue skills aimed at all levels of involvement Drawing on your life experiences combined with these emergency response skills will increase the likelihood of continued self-reliance by empowering yourself and your community! Volunteer CERT basic training is ongoing. Some jurisdictions may require a small fee. To become a Volunteer CERT Member, contact the CERT coordinator for your area. Become a CERT Instructor


	Volunteer CERT Instructors are needed to provide training and public education throughout our communities in Santa Clara County. This Volunteer CERT Instructor training is free and includes lunch. The next Volunteer CERT Instructor training is: To Be Announced - Please check back Prerequisite: completion of the entire CERT basic level course. In order to receive a Volunteer CERT Instructor certificate of completion, participants are required to attend the entire 3-day training.
